I've also tried to binding the shouts to a number of different number keys. That's not the problem. I'll map the shout to a number key and hit that key with no results. WebWhile it does slow down both you and the enemy it slows down the enemy more. Hence you can get 3 some times 4 hits in for every 1 strike the enemy can pull off. And you can circle around to get a back hit in much quicker with out retaliation also. So it does have it's up sided, personally I love it and use it more then any other shout.
